چکیده

Segregation phenomena of Ag–Cu–Au trimetallic clusters with icosahedral structure are investigated by using a Monte Carlo method based on the second-moment approximation of the tight-binding (TB-SMA) potentials. We predict that the Ag atoms segregate to the surface of the Ag–Cu–Au trimetallic icosahedral clusters. The Ag concentrations in the surface layer of the clusters are about 11–29 at.% higher than the overall Ag concentration in all the cases studied. The simulation results also indicate that the Au atoms are mainly distributed in the middle shell and the Cu atoms are located in the center for the 147-, 309-, 561and 923-atom clusters at 300 K. The segregation phenomena of the Ag, Au and Cu atoms in the Ag–Cu–Au trimetallic clusters are mainly due to the different surface energies of the Ag, Au and Cu atoms. It is found that the size and composition have little effect on the segregation phenomena of Ag, Au and Cu atoms in the Ag–Cu–Au trimetallic cluster.

Homo-metallic metal alkynyl complexes exhibit interesting catenane structures, but their hetero-metallic catenane counterparts are under-developed. In this work, we report rare examples of bimetallic Au–Cu (DtbpC^C ligand; Dtbp 1⁄4 3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl), Au–Ag (BuC^C ligand), and Au–Cu, Au–Ag (C6FluoC^C ligand; C6-Fluo 1⁄4 9,9-dihexyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl) complexes as well as a trimetallic Au–Ag...

Trimetallic Au-Cu-La/AC for Acetylene Hydrochlorination in a Multi-Tubular Fixed Bed Reactor

The metal chloride of LaCl3 was chosen to modify the Au-Cu/AC to decrease the noble metal of gold and enhance the catalytic performances. Then a mercury-free catalyst of Au-Cu-La/AC was prepared by the impregnation method, and the fresh Au-Cu-La/AC and Au-Cu/AC catalysts were also characteri...

Synthesis of hollow and trimetallic nanostructures by seed-mediated co-reduction.

Coupling seed-mediated co-reduction with galvanic replacement for the first time provides a route to trimetallic (Ag-Au-Pd) nanostructures with hollow interiors. Moreover, manipulating the synthetic conditions can suppress galvanic replacement and facilitate formation of trimetallic core@shell (Ag@Au-Pd) nanostructures. These results illustrate the role of seed composition in the synthesis of a...

Structural Transformations of Multimetallic Nanoparticles

Atomic-level understanding of the structural transformations of multimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) triggered by external stimuli is of vital importance to the enhancement of our capabilities to precisely fine-tailor the key structural parameters and thereby to fine-tune the catalytic properties of the NPs. In this work, I firstly show that Au-Cu bimetallic NPs demonstrate stoichiometry-dependent...

The Exploration Significance of Ag/Au, Au/Cu, Cu/Mo, (Ag×Au)/(Cu×Mo) Ratios, Supra-ore and Sub-ore Halos and Fluid Inclusions in Porphyry Deposits: A Review

This paper documents the exploration significance of Ag/Au, Au/Cu, Cu/Mo and (Ag×Au)/Cu×Mo) ratios of the supra-ore and sub-ore halos versus fluid inclusion evolution for 24 Cu, 6 Cu- Mo and 10 Cu-Au porphyry deposits worldwide. The ratios are based only on the economic and mineralized hypogene alteration zones. The results indicate that (Ag×Au)/(Cu×Mo), Au/Cu and Cu/Mo ratios increase with dec...
